Spailpin And Brody

Came up with a new cartoon idea a few days ago. I decided to steer away from my usual cartoon animals for a change and create a cartoon revolving around the human world instead. Feels cool to try something new and different.
Anyway I named the cartoon "Spailpin", pronounced "spall-pin" and the time it takes place in is during the late 1800's/early 1900's. Heh heh, once again, I have created Irish OC's, very typical of me, I know. Dang, Irish people are just so fun to draw. 
The main character of this cartoon's name is Spailpin. Well, it isn't his REAL name, it is actually a word in the Irish language, and the definition is an Irish person who is treated badly by their Master. What happened was, his parents both died during the terrible Irish Potato Famine when he was 10 years old, was left an orphan, then was taken in by the lord of a huge Manor. He became a servant, but was treated very poorly, and everyone who lived in the Manor house began to call him Spailpin, kind of like how Cinderella's sisters called her Cinderella, but it wasn't her real name. Anyway, he was called Spailpin for so long, he had forgotten his true name, but is always trying to remember it, and to remember his parents. 
When he was about 20 years old, he met another poor, wretched Irish lad named Brody(he is the guy with the floppy, top hat), who was looking for work, then was also taken in by the lord of the Manor. Spailpin and Brody both become friends, and try their best to endure the abuse of their lord together. Unknown to Spailpin, or even to Brody himself at first, Brody is a Changeling. For those who are unfamiliar with faerie lore, Changelings are faerie babies who are used to replace human babies. Sometimes a female faerie will steal a human baby, then replace it with a Changeling, but the human parents usually don't notice the switch, and raise the Changeling baby as if it was their own. Sometimes not even the Changeling will ever discover that he or she in reality is a faerie and not a human. Brody does find out however, and also finds out he is a Shape-Shifter, and can change himself into almost anything. 
Anyway, back to the main plot of the story, a few years after Spailpin met Brody, a Gypsy Caravan comes to the village near the Manor, and one night, out of curiosity, Spailpin sneaks out and pays the Gypsies a visit. The leader of the Caravan is a very old, ugly Gypsy woman, and seems to be very sweet and kind. She offers him a spot in their travelling show if he has a trick or something he could perform. Unfortunately he couldn't think of anything...but WAIT, Brody is a Shape Shifter. He then has an idea, and brings Brody over, telling him he has a surprise. After showing him the Caravan, he explains to a confused Brody what the old Gypsy woman offered him, and tells him that if he shows the woman his shape shifting powers, she may let them both travel with them and perform. To Spailpin it would be the perfect opportunity to escape their's lord's abuse. Brody then asks Spailpin how he would be able to go along too since he doesn't have any performing abilities, and Spailpin answers that maybe they would allow him to be his performance assistant. The whole time, Brody doesn't have a good feeling about it. The old Gypsy agrees to let them both travel with their Caravan, and has them sign a contract. They couldn't read however, and a part of the contract says that they can join the Caravan, BUT...can never LEAVE. Yep, they find out that the old "sweet" Gypsy woman is in reality an evil WITCH who has them TRAPPED. If they try to escape, she magically catches them and gives them punishment. So they are forced to travel and perform with her travelling show whether they like it or NOT. She even treats them worse than their former lord had, and they both regret their mistake terribly. 
Sorry this description is freakin' long. But basically the rest of the cartoon series revolves around Spailpin and Brody's daring attempts to escape the clutches of the Gypsies, and they do make friends along the way. Hope you likey.
